3 Days Kibo Safari Camp Amboseli Safari Overview

This 2-night Amboseli safari is ideal for travelers who want maximum wildlife viewing within a short timeframe. The itinerary focuses on extended time inside the park, allowing you to explore Amboseli’s diverse habitats  from open plains to permanent swamps set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Staying at Kibo Safari Camp provides a comfortable retreat after long game drives, with spacious tents and peaceful surroundings just outside the park.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

We will pick you up at 6:30AM from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or the airport, followed by a scenic drive south toward Amboseli National Park. On arrival, proceed to Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp for check-in and lunch.

At around 3:30PM in the afternoon, depart for your first game drive, exploring the park during a cooler period when wildlife is active. Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species are commonly seen, often with Mount Kilimanjaro visible in the background. Return to the Camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive – Amboseli National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart with packed lunch for a full-day game drive inside Amboseli National Park. Spending the entire day in the park allows for deeper exploration of different ecosystems, including the swamp areas fed by underground springs, which attract large herds of elephants and other wildlife throughout the day. Your driver-guide will choose routes based on wildlife movement, offering excellent opportunities for photography and observation. You will enjoy your Lunch at a designated spot within the park. Continue game viewing through the afternoon before returning to the lodge in the early evening. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi

After breakfast, check out from the Camp and begin the return journey to Nairobi. Enjoy final views of the park and surrounding landscapes before arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
