This 4-day Lake Nakuru safari offers you a relaxed and in-depth experience in one of Kenya’s most scenic and wildlife-rich national parks. With three nights at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, perched on the escarpment overlooking the park, you enjoy sweeping views, comfortable accommodation, and easy access to game viewing areas. The extended stay allows for unhurried game drives at different times of the day, combining classic wildlife sightings such as black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and lions with ample time to relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities.

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi– Lake Nakuru National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick up(around 6:30AM-7:00AM) from your hotel, residence or JKIA by your driver guide. After a short safari briefing, depart Nairobi in a 4WD safari Jeep/Landcruiser, enjoy your scenic drive along the great rift valley witha brief stopover at the viewpoint for photos. Proceed through the rugged landscapes towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, proceed to Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for check-in and lunch. After a short rest, depart for an afternoon game drive. Explore the lakeshore and wooded areas where flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds gather, alongside sightings of buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes. As the day cools, predators become more active. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. Focus on prime areas known for rhino sightings, as Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s key sanctuaries for both black and white rhinos. Return to the lodge for lunch and leisure time. Guests may relax at the lodge, enjoy the swimming pool, or take in panoramic views of the park from the terrace. In the late afternoon, head out for another game drive, exploring different sections of the park including open plains, forested areas, and scenic viewpoints. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before departing for a mid-morning game drive, offering a different perspective of the park as animals move toward water and shaded areas. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon at leisure. You may choose to enjoy the lodge facilities or simply unwind after days of game viewing. Later in the afternoon, proceed for a final game drive, maximizing wildlife encounters before sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, check out from the lodge and transfer back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped at your hotel, residence or JKIA for your next flight.
