The conservancy forms part of a vital wildlife movement corridor between Laikipia and the northern conservancies, and is home to over 100 mammals, including elephant, African wild dog, reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, lion, leopard, cheetah, and more than 260 bird species.It lies between 57000 ha of land.It is a private owned conservancy,owned by powys family.Some of the activities one can engage while at soyian ranch include morning and afternoon game drive,horse riding,birding,camping.Suyian Conservancy, and the surrounding conservancies around Laikipia showcase an array of diverse landscapes, such as the Acacia woodland, grassy savannah plains, Granitic Inselberg complex, Phonolite escarpment, and riverine forests, along with thickets of old Podocarpus trees.
