The park covers an area of approximately 9,065 square kilometers, making it one of the largest national parks in Kenya.The park is accessible by road from Nairobi or Mombasa. The main gate is located at Mtito Andei, and there are several other entry points.Tsavo West National Park is situated in the Coast Province of Kenya, about 240 kilometers southeast of Nairobi, the capital city. It is bordered by the Chyulu Hills to the northeast, Tsavo East National Park to the east, and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania to the south.Tsavo West is home to a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and various species of antelope. The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, with over 600 bird species recorded.
