Aruba Mara Camp is a tented safari camp located 50meters behind the Talek Gate and Overlooks the Talek River with hippos and crocodiles below in the northern edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Aruba means Elephant from the Giriama people of the Mijikenda who occupy the coastal strip. The camp is best reached via the Nairobi, Narok, Sekenani route. From Nairobi to Aruba by road is about 4-5 hours drive (260km), flying time from Nairobi is 45min to the closest airstrip Olkiombo Airstrip followed with a short 15minutes transfer.
The camps have 3 luxury tents,5 comfortable tents, and 7 bush tents. Luxury tents and comfort tents are en suite having living spaces, mosquito nets, tables, stools, clothe racks, a balcony. The bush tents have only mosquito nets and shared bathrooms. The spacious campsite can accommodate 40 guests. There is 2 camping kitchens with tap water, dinning tents, shared lavatories, and firewood charcoal services.
The onsite restaurant offers guests with African traditional cuisines as well as some of the famous international cuisines. The restaurant has an open roof on one side and is built around a tree to give guests that bush feeling. There is a fully stocked bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in the fire pit in the beer garden.
