Lenchad Tourist Camp is a budget semi luxury accommodation and eco-friendly safari tented camp in the North west of Masai Mara National Reserve. Masai Mara is a famous destination renowned for its abundant wildlife and wildebeest migration spectacle that takes place from July – October. Over 1milion wildebeests and herbivore cross Mara river from Serengeti National park, Tanzania as they enter Masai Mara, Kenya and vice versa.

Accessibility and location of Lenchada Camp

The camp is located on the Oloolamutai hills on the western boarder of Masai Mara, 2.5km to the Ololaimuita entrance gate. The camp can be accessed by road from Nairobi which takes approximately 300km(6hours). Scheduled flights take 45-60min from Nairobi Landing at Ol Kiombo or Keekorok airstrips followed with a transfer to the camp.

Lenchada Tourist Camp Accommodation

The camp offers two types of tents- Delaxe tents and Standard tents. All tents comprise of Single, double, triple and family (Maximum of 4 pax) room accommodations that can accommodate up to 60 guests. All tents are basic, clean and tastefully fitted with;

• Beds, linen, mosquito nets, en suite bathroom with flush toilets, washing basins, and hot showers, own veranda with safari chairs for sitting back and watching the bush.
• Standard tents can accommodate a capacity of 32 people with double arrangement, 48 people with triple arrangement. Accommodation prices per person per night starts from $45.
• Deluxe tents can accommodate only 8 people with double arrangement and 12 people with triple arrangement. The tent feature 24hr solar-power supply, charging pots. Accommodation prices per person per night starts from $70.

Meals and drinks at Lenchada Camp

There is a well-stocked bar serving local and international drinks and a lounge area where you can relax and enjoy a cold beverage. At the camp, a spacious dining area has been set aside serve different local & international meals prepared with professional chefs.

Facilities and extra Amenities offered at Lenchada Camp

In the evening a bonfire is lit providing great opportunity for guests to interact sharing their safari experience. A curio shop selling locally-made products is available.
