Loita River Side Camp

Loita Riverside Camp is a budget camp situated right on the banks of the Talek River and next to the Masai Mara ‘Talek Gate’ which is only 200 meters away from the camp. The camp is Masai owned and managed by Kipeen and Everlyne Saiyalel, a local Masai. The camp is accecccible by either road or air. The distance from Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximately 250km which takes 5-6 hours by road while flying time takes about 45minutes landing to the nearest airstrip, Keekorok airport which is 21km away from the camp.

There is a total of 30 beds in 10 bands and 2 luxury tents with 2 beds each. The camps accommodation is in Banda’s which have comfortable beds, shower facilities, hot and cold water, secure lock, and have great views of the Talek River. The camp also offers guests a camping area with facilities such as running water, washing facilities and flush toilets.

Facilities provided at the Riverside camp include dining services, a stylish leisure area hiring of the kitchen area & a fully stocked bar with local and international drinks from wine, beer, spirits and cocktails. Guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Mara plains and river Talek from the lookout tower. Campfires at the camp are only allowed at designated areas around the camp. There is an outdoor swimming pool where guests can relax and unwind.
