Malaika Camp Masai Mara is a private luxury accommodation located right on the Mara River in the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the richest wildlife reserves in the world. There are year-round good opportunities to see the Big Five (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, Lion). The camp is 35 minutes’ drive from the Talek Gate. The camp can be accessed by road or either by air. The distance from Nairobi to Maasai Mara is approximately 280km taking around 5-6 hours by road and flying time takes 45minutes.
There are 10 tents, each different and tastefully decorated in an African theme. All tents have an excellent and amazing position right beside the Mara River. Each tent has a large double bed or two single beds, a furnished verandah, and an en suite bathroom with running water, a safari shower with warm water, and flush toilet.
The camp has a tented restaurant serving both local and international cuisine, a BBQ facility is also available for guests to enjoy freshly grilled meat and drink a cold beer or a glass of wine from the well-stocked bar. Guests can also enjoy the campfire while enjoying the fantastic views of the Mara River.
