Mara Leisure Camp is a safari accommodation locaed along the Talek River on the northern boundary of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is 20km away from Sekenani gate. The camp is at the confluence of the Masi Mara’s four wildlife viewing areas and one of the most exciting spectacles the ‘Great wildebeest Migration’. Guests can access the camp by road or by air from Nairobi which is 280km away. It takes around 5-6 hours by road and 45 min by air, followed by a short transfer from the airstrip to the camp.
Accommodation facilities include 9 spacious ‘Jumbo’ tents, 13 ‘Nyati’ tents, and 3 families ‘Jamii’ cottages. Each canvas tent is erected on a raised deck and has a wooden floor, mosquito nets, work desk, and en-suite bathroom with shower and toiletries. Jamii cottages are solid buildings with 2 rooms a double room and a twin room, all furnished with safari style theme.
The camps restaurant offers guests with excellent cuisine from either the buffet or the set menu. Guests can have their meals indoor or outdoor specious verandah. An outdoor bar with a collection of Kenyan thirst quenchers where guest can relax as the sip their drink. The outdoor swimming pool offers an ideal place for relaxation as guests order cocktails or take refreshing dip between game drives. There is a fully equipped and furnished conference room accommodating up to 40 guests. A mini bush spa facility is present for massage therapies and body treatments.
