Mara Plains Camp

Mara Plains Camp is an intimate luxury safari camp under Canvas located on a bend on the Ntiakitiak River in the heart of the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy on the northern border of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp blends the finest in wildlife viewing with the absolute best of safari experience. From Nairobi to Masai Mara it is approximately 280km, it takes 5-6 hours by road and flying takes 45min. Scheduled flights land at Ol Kiombo Airstrip which is 20min drive away while charter flights land Olare Orok Conservancy airstrip.

The camp has 7 luxury tents which are on a raised deck with sweeping views across Kenya’s notable savannah. Only 14 guests can be accommodated at a go. The tents are fitted and fully furnished to give guests the best of Africa’s experience. Each tent is well-appointed with a deep copper bath, flush toilets, Floor to ceiling net walls, marquis ceiling, dressing area, extensive private verandah, wooden floors, solar power, writing desk, a yesteryear chest along with seating area with chairs, and a coffee table. The tents décor play homage to the essence of East Africa Swahili heritage which Is reflected in large doors from the island of Lamu and accents of red to honor the great Maasai chiefs and warriors.

Guests can get to enjoy the Mara plains views at the library or dining area which serves international and local cuisines. There is a lounge and bar area where guests can relax, socialize and enjoy drinks. The camp features a swimming pool, a spa and wellness facility where guests can induldge in massages. There is also a camp fire area where guests often set up for evening gatherings.
