High on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills is Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs. The lodge is located a few kilometers outside the reserve which is about 5hrs drive from Nairobi and 45 min flight from Wilson Airport to Keekorok airstrip.
The camp's accommodations offer both comfort and a unique connection to nature. Guests can choose from a variety of rooms and suites, all boasting panoramic views of the surrounding landscape decorated, featuring elegant furnishings and modern amenities. There are 50 traditional round cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. The lodge offers guest a live cooking area, succulent main course, garden fresh salads in its circular furnished dining area.
