Miti Mingi Eco Camp is a budget safari camp located on the banks of Ololaimutiek River in Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is 500m from Ololaimutiek Masai Mara entrance gate. The cams are situated under a canopy of indigenous trees (Miti Mingi) -meaning many trees which create a cool retreat, the leafy canopy attracts a large variety of birdlife all day long. From Nairobi to Masai Mara is approximated to be 280km, taking -6 hours by road. Masai Mara is also accessible by air from Wilson Airport I Nairobi, this takes approximately 45min landing in Keekorok Airstrip followed with a short en route transfer.
The camp has 30 tent- structured rooms decorated in claiming safari tones, natural woods, wrought iron, and crisp cotton. Each tent is fitted with 4 poster beds, a mosquito net, and an en suite bathroom with a hot shower, sink and flush toilet. The tents also have a terrace for viewing beautiful landscape.
Facilities offered include a bar which is fully stocked with local & international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, the lounge is well designed with comfortable luxury safari sofas where guests can relax. There is a dinning area synchronized in the same area with lounge and bar so as to give guests easy movement. There is a lawn with comfortable wooden benches where guests can take a walk. Camps lighting is provided by hydroelectric generated power and backed up by diesel generator.
