Overview

This 4 Day Trip to Masai Mara offers immersive safari experience in a 4WD Tour Van or Landcruiser with pop up roof top. Masai Mara is Africa’s most renowned wildlife reserve located in southwestern Kenya bordering Tanzania. During your safari you will be able to explore the vast grassland full of stunning scenery, spot a wide variety of wildlife including the Big Five. During your stay in Masai Mara you will spend you nights in either a tent/ camp/lodge.

Masai Mara is also famous for its Millions of Wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles that migrate from Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park crossing Mara River to Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of greener pasture. The great migration offers spectacular opportunity for wildlife viewing and photography, this usually takes place between July & October.

Tour Highlight

Day 1; Pick up from Hotel/ Airport/ Address in Nairobi. Stop over at View Point “Great Rift Valley”. Afternoon game drive in Masai Mara. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2; Full day game drive exploring Masai Mara.

Day 3; Early morning and Afternoon game drives with optional Balloon Safari. Relax in your Camp/Lodge or have Optional Maasai Cultural village visit. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4; Morning game drive, depart for Nairobi with an en route game drive. Drop Off at the Hotel/ Airport/ Address.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1; Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Your Driver guide will Pick you up from the Airport/ Hotel or Address in Nairobi. Depart and head southward having a stop over at view point, admire the views of the great rift valley then proceed to Maasai Mara. Arrive in time, have lunch and check in. After lunch relax at own leisure. Proceed to the park for afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight stay at camp/lodge.

Day 2; Maasai Mara

Full day game drive exploring the park in search of the big five (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant & Buffalo), the Mara offers wildlife in a great variety and abundance that is truly difficult to believe. Over 450 species of animals have been recorded e.g. Hippos, Hyenas, Wild Dogs, Cheetah, Wildebeest, Zebra, Warthog, Jackals, many types of antelopes, crocodiles and giraffe. The famous Maasai tribe live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Picnic lunch is served in the park. Later in the evening return to the lodge for overnight stay in your camp/ lodge.

Day3; Maasai Mara

Have an early morning game drive in search of the animals you might have missed, this is the best time for game viewing since most of the animals are active (Optional Balloon Safari). Return to the camp for breakfast and spend the rest of your day enjoying the camp/lodge facilities and hospitality or have an optional visit the Maasai village for a cultural experience i.e. Dancing to the Maasai tunes, doing bead works and learn more about their culture. Visit the curio shops to purchase some of the Maasai crafts or souvenir. Afternoon game drive is scheduled. Dinner and overnight stay at you camp/lodge.

Day4; Maasai Mara to Nairobi

Early morning game drive in the park followed by late breakfast at the lodge. Check out and depart for Nairobi with an en route game drive. Arrive in Nairobi, drop off at the Airport/ Hotel or Address.
