Overview
Masai Mara and Safari offers unique opportunity to experience the wildlife and landscapes of Kenya and Tanzania. The safari typically includes game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National park which involves a combination of land transfer and flights between two locations. The 6-day safari allows for flexibility in game drive timings, making it suitable for Families and honeymooners with a chance to witness the wildebeest Migration (July-September).
Itinerary
Day 1; Nairobi To Masai Mara National Reserve
Start your 6 Days Safari. Your driver guide to pick you up in Nairobi, depart for a picturesque drive along the Great Rift Valley (A brief short stop at Great Rift Valley viewpoint) and onwards to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive at Masai Mara just in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is scheduled, allowing you to spot the amazing wildlife in the reserve from the Big Cats such as Lions & Leopards, Rhinos, Elephants and wildebeest. Return to your lodge/camp for overnight and Dinner.
Day 2-3; Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve
Daily two game drives, one in the morning before breakfast and another one in the late afternoon after lunch. Get to spot Mara wildlife in the early mornings and late afternoon since it is the best time to spot animals at their most active. During your safari at Mara you may also choose to have full day game drive with packed picnic lunch or get to indulge in activities offered at the Masai Mara such as;
- Masai Cultural visit
- Horse backing
- Nature walks
- Bush Meals & Sundowner
- Hot balloon Safari
Dinner and overnights at your camp/ lodge.
Day 4; Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park
After early breakfast and check-out, have a morning game drive en-route to Serengeti National Park. Your driver guide will drive you to Isebania border where you will be met by your guide in Tanzania who will transfer you to your overnight camp/lodge in Serengeti National Park. Get to check in at your camp/lodge where you will have dinner and overnight.
Day 5; Full Day at Serengeti National Park
Early morning game drive, get to explore the great plains filled with spectacular herds of wildebeests and other wildlife. Serengeti National park is home to Millions of Wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland, topi and other animals which breed here before they embark on their Great Migration in search of greener pasture, water & the trek for survival (Wildebeest Migration happens from July- September). Also get to spot big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs which thrive in the park in large numbers. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge/camp.
Day 6; Serengeti National Park to Arusha
At dawn embark on your concluding game drive in Serengeti followed by a leisurely breakfast. Check out at your lodge/camp and proceed to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon. Drop off at your hotel or an onward transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.
