Safari Overview

The seven days safari entails exploring the magical Kenya by road, staying in tented camps or lodges offering comfortable accommodation. Get to visit and explore some of the most famous parks and reserves in Kenya. The safari experience combines Amboseli National park, Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve.

Amboseli National park is famously known for its large herds of elephants together with the scenic backdrop of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro which is the largest mountain in Africa. The parks habitat ranges from dried up lake Amboseli, the Savannah, Wetlands and as well as woodland. Amboseli is home to diverse range of species from the Big five, Mammals, antelopes, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, monkeys, crocodiles, peacocks, ostrich among many other.

Lake Nakuru National Park located on the floor of the Great Rift valley is a wildlife haven famous for its colorful pink Flamingo population found along the shores of the Lake Nakuru. The park is surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland with habitats such as the Lake Nakuru, the surrounding escarpments and ridges. The park is home to 450 bird species and 56 different mammal species, including Rhino and waterbucks.

Masai Mara National Reserve, is a renowned and famous wildlife conservation area Known for its abundance of wildlife. Masai Mara is located southwest of Kenya and it is contiguous with the Serengeti National park. Masai Mara is home to wildlife animals including; Big five (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo) as well as Giraffe, Zebra, Cheetah, Hippo among many other. Masai Mara is particularly famous for the Great Migration that takes place between July – October, with over a million wildebeest and other animals cross the Mara River. Masai Mara highlights the Kenyan safari experience.

 

Highlight

Day 1; Pick up from Airport, Hotel, Address or Nairobi. Transfer by road to Amboseli National Park. Afternoon game drive. overnight in Amboseli National Park.

Day 2; Spend the whole day at Amboseli. Morning and Afternoon game drives to take place (Optional Full day game drive and Extra activities i.e. Maasai Village Visit, Hot air balloon). Overnight in Amboseli National Park.

Day 3; Morning game drive in Amboseli, afterwards transfer to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon Game drive. Overnight in Lake Nakuru National Park.

Day 4; Morning game drive in Lake Nakuru later on proceed to Masai Mara. Afternoon Game drive. Overnight in Masai Mara.

Day 5 - 6; Full day Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve. Optional extra activities such as; Masai Cultural Safari, Hot air balloon Safari, Horse backing Safari, Nature Walks etc. Overnight in Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 7; Transfer from Masai Mara back to Nairobi. Drop off at; Airport/ Hotel/ Address.

 

Detailed Itineray

Day 1; Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your driver guide will pick you up at the Airport/ Hotel/ Residence. A short briefing to take place then procced with a road trip to Amboseli National Park. Your Safari adventure starts with an en route game drive to your camp/lodge. Arrive in time for Lunch, check in. Get to rest and Relax, enjoying the camps/lodges facilities.

Afternoon game drive is scheduled, get to experience the broad range of Big game such as the Elephants which move together in large herds. Track down the famous animals down “The Big Five” (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino). Return to the camp/lodge as you enjoy views of the Mount Kilimanjaro together with the sunset bliss. Dinner and Overnight at your Camp/Lodge.

Day 2; Amboseli National Park

Start off your second Day with an Early Morning Game Drive for better views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds form over the summit. This is also the best time to sport wild animals, this is when they are most active. Return to the Camp/Lodge for breakfast then spend the rest of the day at leisure. After lunch leave for another thrilling game drive visiting some of the attractions such as; Lake Amboseli & Sinet delta. Get the opportunity to sport wildlife you had missed to spot such as; giraffes, Zebras, Wildebeest, Baboons, Cheetahs, wild dogs etc. Return to the camp/lodge for Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 3; Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru with an en route game drive at Amboseli National Park. Drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Make a stop at view point, get to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the rift valley escarpments then proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After some rest an evening game drive will take place in the Afternoon. The lake is Famous for hosting over 400 bird species and games such as the Rothschild giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reed buck, lion, buffalo, baboon and many other species. Return to the camp/lodge for Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 4; Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

Have breakfast at the camp/lodge followed with check out. Have an en route game drive as you procced to Masai Mara National reserve. Arrive and check in at your camp/lodge. Have lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Have an evening game safari in the Mara plains getting to spot animals such as Wildebeest, Zebras, Lions, Elephants and many more. After game drive head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - 6; Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend full day in the Masai Mara National reserve, during this day you will be having early and afternoon game drives (Optional Full day game drives). During game drives you will get to spot the big five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo), Antelopes, cheetah, common zebra, coke’s hartebeests and many more. Masai Mara hosts the annual wildebeest migration where by millions of wildebeests and zebra’s cross river Mara from Serengeti National park entering Masai Mara in search of greener pasture. The Great Wildebeest Migration Takes place between the months of July and October.

Day 7; Masai Mara - Nairobi

During This last day of your Safari experience, you’ll have an early Morning Game drive in the Masai Mara National reserve. Early mornings are considered the best for spotting wild animals and activities like (Optional Hot Air Balloon Safaris). Return to your Camp/Lodge for breakfast and check out. Leave for Nairobi have your last en route game drive. Arrive in Nairobi in The Afternoon followed by drop off at The Airport/ Hotel or Address.
