MOMBASA HOLIDAY TRAVEL PACKAGE (SGR OPTION)

OVERVIEW

Mombasa is one of the best travel destinations in Kenya. Located in Southeastern Kenya along the Indian Ocean. It must have been already a prosperous trading town in the 12^th century, as the Arab Geographer Al-Idris mentions it in 1151. Today, Mombasa is a tourism-based town, the largest port in Kenya, offering a wide range of cultures, entertainment, and architecture with an international Airport. Mombasa is an excellent travel destination for travelers to explore.

FORT JESUS

Fort Jesus is located on Mombasa Island. The Fort was built by the Portuguese in 1593- 1596 to the designs of Giovanni Battista Cairati to protect the port of Mombasa. is one of the most outstanding and well-preserved examples of 16^th Portuguese military fortification and a landmark in the history of this type of construction. Fort Jesus Museum is symbolic of the history of the town of Mombasa.      

THE HALLER PARK

Haller Park is a nature park in Bamburi, Mombasa, on the coast. It is the transformation of a quarry's Wasteland into an ecological area. Haller Park holds a variety of plants and animal species which serve as a recreation spot for tourists and locals. It hosts a variety of wildlife including hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes, as well as smaller mammals and birds.

MOMBASA MARINE PARK & RESERVE

The park lies between the Mtwapa and Tudor creeks and its blue waters are ideal for windsurfing, water skiing, snorkeling, and diving. They also provide a room for a colorful variety of marine species, sea species, and interesting migratory birds.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Nairobi-Mombasa      

Our Mombasa package will start from Nairobi with a flight/SGR to Mombasa. On arrival, our driver will pick up and transfer you to your Mombasa hotel for lunch and relaxation by the pool or beach for the entire afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2: Mombasa

Mombasa full day at leisure.

DAY 3: Mombasa full day- Mombasa Marine National Park & reserve

After breakfast, proceed to Mombasa Marine Park (own cost). Tour the park in a glass bottom boat where you spend the better part of the morning enjoying the marine life scenery as you, sunbathe and swim in the ocean. Return to the hotel for lunch then spend the afternoon relaxing in your room or beach bed as you enjoy your drinks and make merry with the wide variety of delicious meals and cocktail drinks. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 4: Mombasa -Nairobi

After breakfast, have a walk to the beach. Then go for a nature walk to see wildlife at Haller Park (own cost) followed by a Mombasa city tour and Fort Jesus (own cost). Go back to your hotel where our driver will come pick you up for a transfer to the airport/Station for your journey to Nairobi
