OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY
A very unique form of conservancy, Ol Pejeta is home to the last two remaining white rhinos in the world and to all of Kenya’s rescued chimpanzees – victims of the illegal pet trade. The conservancy is a model of innovative bush tourism with activities that immerse the visitor into conservation and give them the opportunity to interact with the environment and the wildlife, including going lion tracking to collect research data. Ol Pejeta also offers night game drives, something that is not available in most national parks.
Ol Pejeta is the closest place to Nairobi to the see the Big Five, so it is an easy drive. This is the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees.

A DETAILED ITINERARY
Early Morning: Departure
Begin your day with an early morning departure from Nairobi or Nanyuki (depending on your location). Enjoy a scenic drive toward the Laikipia region with beautiful views of Mount Kenya along the way.
Mid-Morning: Arrival & Game Drive
Upon arrival at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, enter the park and proceed for a guided game drive. Spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and rhinos roaming freely in the conservancy.
Late Morning: Conservation Experiences
Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only one of its kind in Kenya, and learn about the important conservation work being done at Ol Pejeta. Continue to the Northern White Rhino enclosure, where you will see the last two remaining individuals and learn their powerful story.
Lunch Break
Enjoy lunch at a designated picnic site or lodge restaurant within the conservancy, surrounded by nature and wildlife views.
Afternoon: Leisure Game Drive & Photography
After lunch, continue with a relaxed afternoon game drive, capturing memorable wildlife photographs and enjoying the open landscapes of Ol Pejeta.
Late Afternoon: Departure
Exit the conservancy and begin your return journey, arriving back in the evening and concluding a rewarding one-day safari experience.
