Overview
This 10-day safari combines Kenya and Tanzania which offers a unique experience of the diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes of East Africa. The safari includes visiting iconic National Parks, Reserves and Conservancies which are; Masai Mara National Park, known for its savannah plains and famous for its annual wildebeest migration, abundant big cats’ population, The Big five and it is home to the famous Masai people. Serengeti National Park a vast open savannah home to the famous wildebeest migration, a spectacle of nature. Ngorongoro Conservation area most famous for the Ngorongoro crater, a large volcanic caldera that is home to diverse array of wildlife and unique ecosystem. Amboseli National Park known for its large elephant population and its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The Wildebeest migration one of the most spectacular natural event is also a key highlight of the combined safari, allowing travelers to witness the inspiring phenomenon across Kenya (Masai Mara National Reserve) and Tanzania (Serengeti National Park). This event takes place between the Month of July and October.
Safari Highlight
Day 1; Arrive in Nairobi, Transfer to your hotel for Overnight Stay.
Day 2; Pick Up by your driver guide. Proceed to Masai Mara Via road, driving along the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at Masai Mara.
Day 3-4; Full Day exploring the wild Masai Mara National Reserve and having extra activities at the reserve or camp/lodge. Overnight stay in Masai Mara.
Day 5; After breakfast, transfer to Serengeti via Tanzania boarder, clear custom. Pick up by your Tanzania guide proceeding to your lodge with en route game drive in Serengeti. Overnight Stay in Serengeti National Park.
Day 6; Full day stay in Serengeti exploring the park. Overnight stay in Serengeti National Park.
Day 7; Morning game drive then leave for Ngorongoro Conservation area after breakfast.
Day 8; Spend full day in Ngorongoro exploring the crater and the conservancy. Overnight stay at
Day 9; After breakfast transfer to Amboseli via Arusha. Pick up by your Kenya Guide at Namanga Border. Proceed to Amboseli for your last Kenya Tanzania Safari, Afternoon game drive. Overnight Stay in Amboseli National Park.
Day 10; Morning game drive, check out after breakfast. Depart for Nairobi with en route game drive. Drop off at designated place.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a representative who will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at leisure and Overnight at your hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2; Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from your hotel by your driver guide, a short safari briefing. Your Masai Mara journey commences, driving along the Great Rift Valley where you’ll have a short stop over. Enjoy the scenic views that Kenya has to offer and taking photos before you proceed. Start off with your first en route game drive, arrive at your Camp/Lodge for lunch and relax. Afternoon game drive is scheduled and your search for the Big five begins. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3-4; Masai Mara Full Day
Spend full day in Masai Mara with Morning and Afternoon game drives (Optional Full day Game Drives). During your adventure you will experience the abundance wildlife and the action-packed thrills. After morning game drives spend your time enjoying the camp/lodge facilities, at own leisure or you can choose to have extra optional activities such as;
- Visiting a Maasai Cultural Village
- Horse Safari
- Nature walks
- Bush Meals & Sundowners
Dinner and overnights at your Camp/lodge.
Day 5; Masai Mara - (Isebania Boarder) - Serengeti National Bark
After breakfast you will check out with packed lunch and drive through the Masai Mara as you proceed to Serengeti Via Tanzania boarder at the Isebania/ Sirari. Your driver guide will assist you to clear customs and you will be received on the other end by your Tanzania driver guide and your Tanzania Safari begins arriving in Serengeti late in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at your camp/lodge.
Day 6; Serengeti Full Day
Have a full day extensive game drive in the Serengeti with lunch break. Serengeti offers endless plains and consists of many species of animals including the “Big Five” (Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard & Lion). Other common species include Hippo, Giraffe, Impala, antelopes, baboons, monkey and over 500 species of birds among others. Dinner and overnight at you Camp/ Lodge.
Day 7; Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservancy
Early morning game drive (Optional Hot air Balloon Safari), return to your lodge for breakfast. Check out and depart for Ngorongoro conservancy with an en rout game drive through Serengeti. Arrive in Ngorongoro a world heritage site and also the worlds largest unbroken volcanic caldera. Diner and overnight at your camp/lodge.
Day 8; Ngorongoro Full Day
After breakfast you driver guide will drive you to the crater where you will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro crater for a full day game viewing. Enjoy your lunch by the hippo pool. Ngorongoro offers a diver’s array of wildlife, including over 3,000 animals at any given time, and it is famous for its concentration of predators. Return back to your lodge in the Evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 9; Ngorongoro – (Arusha- Namanga Boarder) – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Namanga boarder where you will clear customs. Pick up by your Kenyan driver guide who will drive you to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of Elephants and scenic views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro “The tallest mountain in Africa”. After lunch have a game drive in the park then return to the lodge late in the afternoon for dinner & Overnight.
Day 10; Amboseli – Nairobi
Early morning game drive catching best views of the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro and an opportunity to spot the Big Five and other wildlife. After break fast check out and leave for Nairobi with an en route game drive (Optional Maasai Cultural Visit). Drop off in Nairobi at the Airport/ Hotel/ Address.
