Aberdare National Park Safari
Overview
The safari offers a thrilling adventure at Aberdare National park. The park is not far from the capital city. Aberdare is unique amongst Kenya’s wildlife reserves with its rainforests, waterfalls, green mountainous terrain and rugged moorlands. Here you’ll find the bamboo groves and high alpine foliage buffalo, antelope, elephant, antelope – even baboon and monkey. The park also herds a large herd of black rhino and some big cats like lion and the back leopard.
Itinerary
Day 1; Nairobi To Aberdare National Park
Pick up with our driver/guide from your hotel, Airport or residence. Drive off to Aberdare National Park via the central Kenya highlands with stops to view tea and coffee plantations. Aberdare is home to Elephants, Leopards, Spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white Columbus monkeys, warthog and bush bucks among others. Upon arrival check in and have lunch. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2; Full Day Aberdare National Park
Early morning game drive at Aberdare National Park. Breakfast at the lodge and get to relax. After lunch depart to The Ark Lodge. The Ark is situated in the heart of the Aberdare an iconic overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of wildlife. The ark comprises of four decks from which numerous balconies and lodges provide a superb wildlife view. Afternoon proceed for an afternoon guided nature trail in Aberdare National Park. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3; Aberdare To Nairobi
Have breakfast, check out at your lodge and then proceed with your journey back home with an en route game drive. You can have optional self-sponsored extra activities.
