3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS MADARAKA EXPRESS TO TSAVO 2026 SAFARI
OVERVIEW
Our 3 days 2 nights safari is set to start and end in Nairobi. The mode of transport From Nairobi to Voi and back is The Madaraka Express also termed as the Standard Gage Railway (SGR) followed by a short transfer to the lodge from Voi Train Terminal.
Accommodation options offered are Taita Hills safari resort & spa offering private viewing balconies overlooking the water holes and Salt Lick Safari Lodge set on high stilts above watering hole and feeding pastures with spectacular views of wildlife from above. Both lodges are located in the heart of Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary adjacent to the LUMO Community Wildlife Sanctuary and Tsavo West National park renowned for its diverse wildlife.
Taita hills is a private sanctuary hosting a variety of wildlife such as; cape Buffalo, African bush elephant, leopard, lion, cheetah, Masai giraffe, zebra, hartebeest, impala, waterbuck and numerous bird species.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1; Nairobi To Tsavo By Train
Arrive at the Nairobi SGR Train station in time for security check and ticket printing. Board the Train, start your journey heading to Voi train station where you will be picked by your driver guide upon Arrival. Transfer to your lodge, check in. Have lunch and later on spend the rest of the day at leisure or enjoy the hotel facilities. Afternoon game drive is scheduled giving you a chance to explore the sanctuary. Return at your lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 2; Full Day in Tsavo
Have breakfast then afterward for a game drive, get a chance to spot some of the big cats of Tsavo and other animals like Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and some of the bird species. Later on, head back to your lodge for lunch and some rest before proceeding for another game drive scheduled in the Afternoon.

Day 3; Tsavo To Nairobi
After breakfast check out of the lodge, have your last game drive en route to Voi for your train back to Nairobi.
